How It Works
In their most classical applications, SPs provide a unique method of learning by creating a safe environment in which practitioners and students are able to practise clinical and communication skills.
Here’s how it works:
Understand Leaning Objectives:
- What do you want to achieve?
- What are your learning and development objectives?
- What timescale do you want to work to?
- What professional level are the learners at?
- What is the size of the group?
Develop a bespoke programme to meet objectives:
- What are the best techniques to engage your learners?
- Is it appropriate to base scenarios on service users’ experiences?
- What will it cost?
- When will it happen?
Deliver the programme:
- Together with a creative officer you will develop bespoke materials to meet your learning objectives
- A project coordinator will work with you to manage the logistics of your programme and cast the appropriate team
- The delivery team will work with you to ensure your event is seamlessly delivered
Evaluation
- How far have attitudes, skills and behaviours changed as a result of the programme?
- What did the participants think?
- What did you and your team think?
